Schools don’t stop running just because construction starts. That’s why CapStar Electric has been selected to manage the electrical work for a significant new addition at Mina Elementary School in Bastrop.
The project includes a new two-story, 54,139 square foot expansion that will add classrooms, a library, computer labs, a gymnasium with indoor basketball, a full kitchen, and a dedicated band hall to the existing campus.
CapStar’s role includes power distribution, lighting, and system integration across all spaces, with the added challenge of tying new infrastructure into an active school environment. Timelines are tight, coordination is critical, and everything needs to be ready for students on day one.
Additions like this come with moving parts—multiple trades, overlapping systems, and no room for disruption. CapStar brings the structure and field experience to manage it cleanly, from the first conduit pull to final testing.
When the new wing opens, it won’t just be bigger. It will be ready.
