Expanding a school while it remains active requires new infrastructure to come together without getting in the way of what is already there. At Mina Elementary in Bastrop, CapStar supported a 54,139 square-foot, two-story addition while the existing campus continued to serve students
and staff.
The expansion adds classrooms, a library, computer labs, a gymnasium, full kitchen, and dedicated band hall. CapStar’s work included power distribution, lighting, and system integration throughout the new spaces, with careful coordination required to connect the addition to the existing campus and have every system ready when the new wing opened.
